My husband James and I have been practicing our veggie sushi-making skills at home a lot lately. Mostly I chop and he rolls. These are some sketches from one of our recent sushi nights. Our two-year-old daughter is still on the fence about sushi, but enjoyed the carrot slices I cut into little "flowers" like ones I had seen in a cute book about bento box meals.
