​Tonia Dee is a surface pattern designer and illustrator observing the world through rose-colored glasses. Much of her work starts with an old-school analog approach and is then mixed with modern digital magic. She's quite brilliant at making messes (but a bit below average at cleaning them up) and has an affinity for the playful and quirky.

Tonia was raised in the Midwest, has lived as a Cali-Girl in Los Angeles, and currently lives abroad in Prague with illustrator husband and daughter/muse/picnic partner.

Her work is largely influenced by her travels and adventures, daily life with her young daughter, and her lifelong dream of discovering the land of fairies and mermaids.
